You will be provided with a workstation, and the program will simulate the functioning of a studio environment at an office in Malmö.
During the program, you will develop your game independently while we teach you everything you need to know about starting a small game studio, covering topics such as project management, team building, pitching, finance, legal aspects, and securing funding. We collaborate closely with industry stakeholders to ensure you remain connected with the industry throughout the program.
Who do we target?
This program is for you or a whole team that is dedicated to start their own game studio. Whether you are undertaking this program alone while your teammates work remotely or your entire team is participating, this program is designed for you.
- You are a game developer capable of working on your project independently.
- You or your team already has a project or an idea.
- Your goal is to run a small game studio, not just creating a game.
- You want to build a community for smaller game studios.
We welcome all kinds of game projects. Your idea doesn't need to be commercially viable, and we want to nurture artistry. However, you should be able to articulate the impact of your project idea and its contribution to society.
Application
You will submit a maximum two-minute video presenting your background in game development and a project description. Your project description can be a video, images, text or a combination, preferably a pitch document. If your project is in the idea phase you should include a description of the project and how your team can finish the project.
You apply individually, but if you work as part of a team you are all welcome to apply using the same project description.
You will work closely with the other participants in the program, sharing knowledge and experiences. This program is not set to be a closed environment; instead, we help you engage with the industry, creating a stronger network and making space for you in the indie game community.
