Study form
Teaching, support, and collaboration take place digitally via Microsoft Teams and GatherTown. Participants must be present in the shared digital classroom in GatherTown between 08:45 and 11:30 every weekday for joint activities and lessons. In the morning, we have lessons, reviews, and discussions as a full class as well as in-depth work in study groups. In the afternoon, participants can work on individual tasks in their study groups and work on group work. Teachers are also available for questions and supervision during the afternoon. Lesson material is uploaded to Microsoft Teams as a database where participants can go back to previous lessons for revision if necessary. Participants are expected to attend digitally at joint school gatherings that occur, for example, before various holidays and school-wide projects such as Human Rights days and the Christmas market.
From the start of the course, participants are divided into study groups of 4–5 participants per group. Through the study groups, participants can learn from each other and receive support in their studies. The study groups also help participants to feel a sense of belonging. To give participants the opportunity to get to know other participants outside their study group, they are also divided into other groups for project work. Even when participants are working on group projects, they can to turn to their study group for help.
Participant influence
We work actively with participant influence. Participants have the opportunity, both in study groups and in the whole class, to raise questions and concerns about their studies. Suggestions for development and improvement of the course are presented to the course coordinator who, together with other teachers, reviews the improvement opportunities. Participants can also provide anonymous feedback regarding improvement opportunities at the end of the course and to be part of Sundsgården’s student council.
